Not posted in a while, my question is….. if a family court judge makes findings of Domestic Abuse which includes controlling and coercive behaviour towards a Mother and child, is it right that he does everything he can to promote contact with abusive Father?@SheraFamily

Very scary! My ex partner is just roaming around as normal doing all he can to regain contact…. Control with our son. DA proven in family court.

Cafcass state that theres over 27k childrens cases in FC currently open.
Consider what proportion of these involve allegations of DA.
Now break that down into how many cases have serious findings made, including rape, coercive control, physical assualts.....
Then consider whether you'd want your loved ones involved with that perpatrator.
Or whether youd want to work with them, or if they should work in a role with vunerable people/children....
You wouldnt. Because even if someone had been found to commit the most henious of abuse, or has even admitted to it, it stays hidden in the family court files.
Nobody is protected from further harm. Its not on a DBS, its not on a Claires Law.....
They're given a free pass to abuse again.

@SarahTaylo89428 I really don’t know! I’m still struggling to convince Cafcass that my abusive ex is not safe for my don to be around. Despite findings of physical and emotional harm to my son!

@MelanieBridgen I’ve found out from fleeing from my abusive ex partner that he forced our son to pretend he was somebody else’s son and call her Mama! He was shouted at if he forgot to call her Mama . My son was 8 when we fled from his father. Now he’s fighting me in family court

Does anyone have the answer to why it is deemed in a child’s best interests to maintain a relationship with an abusive parent?
Why does this even exist? It makes no sense. In a society where safeguarding should be priority.

So, domestic abuse proven in family court. Emotional and physical harm to me and my son proven. Psychologist diagnosed me with PTSD, therapy needed.
Email from ex’s solicitor…. Father has kindly offered to pay for mother’s therapy!
