@David_Cameron @NCS I am deeply saddened that David Cameron’s government closed down youth clubs and Sure Start, removing crucial support for young people and families. These services provided safe spaces, guidance, and early education, which fostered social development and reduced inequality.
I am pleased to see that the PM went to France today.
U.K.-French Defence co-operation has never been more needed. We are facing the greatest threat to European peace since the 1930's. We now need to see this Entente used to ensure that Russia cannot and does not win in Ukraine.
@MatthewStadlen Yes, but probably not much longer. Life is happier away from the hate filled tweets that are appearing more & more. Trying Threads at the moment. Elon Musk, the First Lady of America, has ruined the site.
In Baku today it is as if there are five @DavidLammy clones. He is everywhere at COP & making a huge & hugely positive impression.
I can’t exaggerate how great it is to have such a senior figure drag the focus away from the technocratic one-dimensional focus on carbon counting towards championing the actual natural world we all depend on and without which we haven’t a hope of stabilising the climate.
It is wonderful to see & so good to have the UK back & leading on this, the most important cause of all 👏🌎👏
Worth noting that while our PM is spending some time overseas, none of it is spent on holiday's to Greece, Slovenia, The Dominican Republic or Mustique.
Starmer cancelled his holiday, and is now prioritising renewing relationships with allies.
The age of UK isolationism is over
A French military choir singing God Save the King today at France’s Remembrance Day. Thank God in turn we have a Prime Minister who does not regard France as an enemy - and prompts such a response from a natural ally with so many shared interests. We rebuild Europe step by step.
Starmer playing a blinder… FIRST PM since CHURCHILL to attend Armistice day in Paris. So much for Tories/Farage fake patriotism. Starmer showing how it is done. Your article on Starmer criticising his global travel in his first 100 days falls very flat @SamCoatesSky@LBC@GMB
@aubie8211@NC5PhilWilliams Try putting his (D T) words into an opposition candidates mouth & see if you find the proposal so acceptable. Have you any female family? Your vote says a great deal about you. I know there are reasonable people in USA but goddam so many morally bankrupt, selfish.
The NFU published these food selfsufficiency figures from the govt. It fell sharply from 1984 when farms first got some exemption from inheritance tax - before that they had none. And it fell again after 1992 when they got 100% exemption. No evidence here that tax breaks boost it
It's a curious fact that farmers made no howls of protest, threatened no disruption to the food chain, or sounded the death knell for family farms, when we left the EU.
Yet, pound for pound, this cost much more than what is being proposed to reform Inheritance Tax. 1/7
A new study from the London School of Economics says 50 years of tax cuts in the U.S. — which promised to “trickle down” and eventually boost jobs and income for everyone — have only helped one group: the rich.

Dear @BBC ,
You are leading #bbc news with quotes from what Labour politicians said about Trump. But even right wing Tories said similar things. Why don’t you mention that too?
#TrevorPhillips: Would it be wise to take advantage of Nigel Farage's offer to be an intermediary with Trump?
Darren Jones: He might want to concentrate his efforts on his constituents in Clacton... as opposed to being a transatlantic commentator.

Christiane Amanpour(CNN): "Elon Musk is not a politician & he has taken X & he has used it as a weapon to bash actual truths... did you see what he did to your own government during the riots... I mean come on."

Voters were wrong to support Trump. People will tell you this isn't a helpful thing to say. But our role right now isn't to be helpful. It is to be truthful https://t.co/NLsBY2u1m8
