@wrobinson101#youandyours just tuned in. If not mentioned yet, I'd say if clever folk seek jobs why do we so often have to queue for ages for a competent easy to understand customer service agent? I'm sick of hearing "we have an unexpectedly high volume of calls blah blah". ๐
This part from later in the video broke my heart... a floating Swan egg that the Swan tries to pull under itself as if incubating it on a nest... ๐๐
How did it get in the water?
This is what entitlement looks like! ๐คฌ
There are nesting waterbirds on this pond on Hampstead Heath... there are also big 'No Swimming' signs, all being totally ignored! ๐คฌ
Pure selfishness... ๐๐คฌ๐คฌ

PS Another bugbear while I'm in the mood to whinge & nag - I may be behind the door but I still don't think there's a housing shortage or that we should be building lots of new housing estates. Most are NOT social housing so who are they being built FOR?? Who "needs" them?
#BBCWato It's too easy to cite an idea as if it's fact. Please report more CAREFULLY. Implication is a form of propaganda. Oldies (eg me) have EARNED our pensions via work & proper investment & often FREELY GIVEN care to older fam. The young do not "pay" for the elderly! .../
It seems a natural good thing for the native population to start to fall. It'll stabilise! We should adapt & plan for it. There are limits to growth & no reason to expect "more" or "faster". Let's aim for stable balanced systems in all fields. Economy is more than financial.
@BBCWorldatOne sad that a politician when asked which current option would better serve the country right now hides behind a self-serving platitude instead of a gracious nod to the people's choice of a full term of Labour leadership.
Opposition shd temper any govt not knock it.
/... I've been saving large sturdy plastic milk bottles for a similar purpose et al (filled with water for stability) so wonder how long they'll last. Thought they might be useful also to make the walls of a kind of insulated cold frame.
Smashing tip if you haven't enough seed potatoes.
I'm equally interested in the fleece props. Are old shopping baskets or suchlike metal a significant risk in terms of rust getting into the soil? I save nearly everything that comes my way but need to declutter.../
@Elainebks@BBCWorldatOne That thought about "playing chicken" got me thinking ... remembering a Sensei long ago, chatting to me one day, mentioned the character Kyuzo in Seven Samurai (& maybe also Musashi) that scene where the swordsmen stand an age, unmoving ...
made me think:
skill wins, ego doesn't
Sorry to add yet another question but I initially only ventured online to find out about growing sandalwood and wonder if you have included that in your vast array of experiments, in or out of your hothouse?
@FlowerdewBob I'd add they're more satisfying too like any puzzle-solving. Guess the folks developing AI & its dubious magic never mastered cryptic crosswords et al puzzles so robbed themselves of the joy of working something out by yourself (or in collaboration, as my dear late ma showed me).

@barclaysukhelp a word of feedback as the person I just had on the phone plainly lacks skill/nous to realise when one needs to cut to the chase to minimise a customer's suffering! Pls train staff to stop repeatedly apologising, & to speak clearly & to the point. Ta. No RSVP reqd.
