I find it so interesting that Alicent always judges Rhaenyra bc of her freedom. Alicent craves being free as much as Rhaenyra was and have been, that's why she resents her so much.
But I think deep down she hates how even tho Rhaenyra could choose anyone, do whatever she pleased, she didn't choose Alicent. She chose Daemon (in Alicent's mind ofc). It's like she's saying she'd have chosen Rhaenyra if she had the chance but realized that Rhaenyra HAD it and didn't choose her...
