@BBCNews Perhaps we should check with the government as to whether that’s ‘local’ as in where we normally live or ‘local’ as in where we drive to. It seems we can now choose the location where we lock down.
@DavidLammy Well said, David. Insulting for the Prime Minister to imply that it was the people who obeyed the lockdown rules who were ‘confused’ because the goalposts have now been moved to accommodate someone who didn’t.
@BBCNews Were we, the public, ‘confused’ to believe we had been told repeatedly by the government not to travel to another region because we risked spreading the virus there and overwhelming local hospitals?
@MattHancock Entirely right? So why was the general public repeatedly enjoined not to travel to another region because they risked spreading the virus and overwhelming local hospitals? What if every other parent had travelled 250 miles to ‘find childcare’?
