"There's got to be more to Arsenal than desperation, set pieces and just throwing the ball up in the air in order for them to deserve to win this final."
The @ESPNFC crew weigh in on Arsenal after losing the Champions League final to PSG.
@Christianjw92 I had to double-check it wasn't Pep's Barca side of 2010-11, the way they were going on! If any other team had played like that they'd be accused of parking the bus. If Tuchel had Saka spending as much time in his own half as Arteta did tonight, Arsenal fans would be going mad!!
@UnitedStandMUFC Clickbait again @markgoldbridge as you would have been going absolutely cataclysmic, complaining about Wilcox/Berrada, if Amorim was still in charge and we were out of CL places. I used to always look forward to watching united stand but not anymore as you do it all for clicks!!
@ammandev It's a joke isn't it. Surprised they've not got Mbuemo on there and quoting £71 million. United are dealt with differently by the media, we are the biggest club in the land and the amount of clicks we generate is what the love!!
@AliceTalksFooty You see what someone like Caicedo does for Chelsea - he's a modern day Kate and we are screaming out for someone similar. Ugarte was bad tonight, Mainoo non-existent and Casemiro was a mixture of both. I'm sure Amorim can describe the type of midfielder he wants!!
@LiamPaulCanning Amorim said we needed more in there after the West Ham game and we've been linked with Sesko & Donnarumma, 0 midfielders - I've no idea why Paulina on loan wasn't an option? Ugarte was poor and Casemiro just tackled fine air leaving Everton to break on us for their 2nd goal!!
@MartienBall The only thing is that, they got overconfident in that Mbuemo only wanted us. 6 weeks ago we could have got him for £62.5 or £63 million. Due to Spurs interest and then Elanga/Madueke transfers his price has gone even higher - we get him but another bad look for United!!
@MartienBall We will have more threats to worry the opposition that will then create space for us to create more chances. Tom score last season, our only hope was Bruno or Amad was on the end of it but now you've got Cunha/Mbuemo/Bruno/Amad plus I think we could see Zirkzee/Hojlund reborn
@JamieJackson___ It's only Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal that's done quite a bit of business. Spurs, Newcastle nothing of note so why aren't they making the headlines. Let's call united to get clicks, lazy journalism Mr Jackson...
@JamieJackson___ It doesn't concern me at all, he had a choice to make and ultimately it will prove he chose the wrong one - no reflection on United at all. You could say look at the pull we still have when Mbuemo has knocked back offers from Newcastle & Spurs and it's nothing to do with money!!
@Itshaber It was the same story as what happened at City, when Pep got rid of a good shot-stopper in Hart to then get Bravo, who was supposedly better with his feet but was shocking and only lasted a season. The main issue is, is that your teammates start to lose faith as well..
@Itshaber He did make some mistakes with his feet and rushing out like against Sevilla but he was a far better shot-stopper than Onana. There is nothing worse than feeling like any shit on target could potentially go in regardless of his speed or trajectory.
@LiamPaulCanning It's what he does for moral as well. Apparently he's a good guy, positivity wise to have in the squad but he's awful. You seen all the players at the end just so dejected - Amorim needs to make a statement by dropping him!!
@JamieJackson___ You can also see how disappointed the players are. When they are all back in the changing room, Onana's mistakes (again) will be the elephant in the room. Imagine being a player after the hard work you've put in and he lets you down again. Nice fella but awful player!!
@JamieJackson___ Sad thing is, in Ten Hag insisting that we brought him in instead of keeping De Gea, cost him his job. Onana was the reason we went out of the champs league last year. De Gea made some mistakes but generally it was through ball-playing. He was an outstanding shit-stopper
@AliceTalksFooty I agree..he hasn't been poor but just looks a bit scared to play his game. That just comes from being a young player in a much higher league and also Amorim's demands. The energy the lad shows though is brilliant. He busts a gut to get on the outside Garnacho at every opportunity
@CraggerRagger@Jason_Kavanagh I agree. Love how Neville said in commentary that we were playing counter-attacking football. That is not Amorim's style. We won it back and then controlled the ball in trying to get forward. You never heard Neville once complain about counter attack when Ole was in charge!!
It shows how poor a number of teams have been this season when a team like Forest are in the top 4. So defensive even as the home team, play-acting, very dull side. If any other team apart from the newly promoted teams played like that they would be hammered by the media!
