@Dearic5227 @wsdot_tacoma @komonews @KING5Seattle Posting on twitter is one thing - taking action is another. We were on that bridge for four hours with the trooper saying (only on twitter!) that it’s so dangerous that we shouldn’t be exiting cars.

@wsdot_tacoma @VickiStClair @wspd1pio Traffic response team didn’t do anything - the police got the subject in custody and left. Not sure why yall waited 4 hours to do something.

@wsdot_tacoma Info we’ve heard since nobody’s informing in-person: people are telling of a man holding a firearm and a bottle of tequila, intoxicated, on the bridge. No actions beyond negotiating taken since 8:30 PM. No plan for the thousands of Washingtonians impacted.

@viking_web_prod @wspd1pio @wsdot_tacoma Because they haven’t told people on the bridge anything, the only communications from the police have been online.

@wspd1pio Also, if it’s risky to exit the cars, please tell people in person. Not everyone on the bridge is checking twitter, and if our safety is at risk we deserve to know.

@wspd1pio 99% of people have stayed in their vehicles for 2.5 hours now, can we get some traffic control to help cars turn around? I understand this is delicate, but I can’t see why we can’t start helping people get home given the lack of ETA.

@MelanieeeAraoz @wsdot_tacoma In the same boat here - there are hundreds of cars on the bridge that have been stuck for 2.5 hours now. What are we supposed to do?

@wsdot_tacoma @wsdot_tacoma is there any plan to help get drivers off the bridge? there are 100+ cars here, most with children or elderly members.

@wsdot_tacoma @komonews there’s a pretty major traffic incident on the Tacoma narrows bridge and it looks like commuters are unaware, would be helpful to PNWers if there was coverage

@wsdot_tacoma Can the traffic on the bridge somehow slowly uturn and exit? We’ve been on the bridge since 8:44 PM.
