The National Centre for Flexible Electronics (NCFlexE), participated in Abhivyakti 2026 held on 20–21 March 2026 at IIT Kanpur.
At the event, NCFlexE showcased a range of developed prototypes, including a printed heater, smart labels for monitoring fluid levels in IV bottles, printed gas sensors, an educational kit, flexible printed solar cells, an OLED cluster display, flexible TFT arrays and circuits, a haptic smart watch for the visually impaired, and circuits printed on flexible substrates.
It was encouraging to see the enthusiasm and curiosity of incubators, investors, and school students towards these innovations.
@ncflexe87870 (NCFlexE, IIT Kanpur), @IITKanpur hosted a team from Mechanical Engineering Department (MED) of the @IndianStandards (BIS)on 8th and 9thJanuary 2026. A National Seminar on “Latest Trends in the Field of Printing Machinery” was organized by BIS on 08 January 2026 at with around 100 participants from academia, industry, R&D institutions, and government departments.
During the seminar several topics related to Printing Machinery were discussed. The technical session offered in-depth discussions on Indian Standards in printing machinery and latest technologies in the field like Offset Machines, Printed Electronics, etc. were discussed. #Printed Electronics was seen as one of the key growth drivers in future.
Seminar was followed by a visit of BIS team and academic and industry participants to the facilities of NCFlexE. A series of meetings were held between participants from BIS, academia and industries to discuss standards related to printing equipment for Printed Electronics.
