The Kenya Association of Muslim Medical Professionals (KAMMP) was registered in 1998, as an organization comprising over 2,000 active members from different fields and cadres of Healthcare Professionals who profess the Muslim faith, coming together with a common vision promoting unity and welfare of Muslim Medical Professionals and to foster positive change in Kenyaโs health landscape. KAMMP is a member of the Federation of Islamic Medical Association (FIMA) which works in close liaison with the UN and WHO. Its manpower is derived from volunteering by its members to provide services to the community as well as the humanity at large.

The highlight of the conference programme was the Opening Ceremony Panel titled โCollaborative Strategies for Sustainable Healthcare Development: Bridging Global, National, and Local Efforts" at a session moderated by KAMMP Secretary General Dr. Abdallah Bajaber

Day 1 featured a rich scientific programme with comprehensive plenary discussions as well as track presentations following a Pre-Conference the previous day.
The KAMMP AGM was also held with elections of new officials to serve the next 2-year term at National Governing Council (NGC) and Branch levels.
The day ended with a Conference Gala Dinner by the Beach under the Full Moon, graced by various dignitaries including the Governor of Lamu County H.E. Gov. Issa Timamy who was the Chief Guest for the evening networking event MashaโAllah
