BBC News reporting the United Nations,
"The commission concluded that Israel has committed genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza"
"And that it is continuing with that genocide"
Rishi Sunak and Keir Starmer were both prime ministers as the UK's RAF flew Shadow R1 spy planes which photographed and filmed the gradual destruction of Gaza by Israel with over 500 flights since December 2023
Why are there sanctions on Russia for attacking Ukraine, but no similar sanctions on Israel for committing a genocide in Gaza?
If you or someone you know is interested in the history of anarchism and in Barcelona tomorrow (Wed 17th) I will be doing my guided walk starting at 10am.
I appreciate if folks can share and let people know about this anarchist education project.

The famine in Ireland was caused by Britain’s cruelty. The famine in Gaza has been caused by Israel’s cruelty - with the full complicity of Britain, the European Union and the US.
I have to make a correction here. Reading the excellent 'Forgotten Places' Barcelona and the Spanish Civil War by @Civil_War_Spain , though involved in working class organising from a young age, McDonald did not meet Aldred until she was aged 31.
I always meet interesting people doing the guided walks on the history of anarchism in Barcelona. Housing and migrant rights activists, union organisers, if not anarchists, anarcho-curious. Always sharing knowledge and experience. I always learn something new.
Ethel MacDonald was a working class woman, born in Bellshill near Glasgow in 1909. Erudite, she was fluent in French and German. Involved in working class organising, at 16, she met Guy Aldred, founder of the Anti-Parliamentary Communist Federation and United Socialist Movement.
This detour was inspired by anarchist comrades from London and Glasgow visiting Barcelona for May day hijinks. They very kindly gifted me a badge featuring Ethel Madonald. I thought it would be good to share a little bit of what I learned about her.
An extraordinary image taken a few minutes from where I'm sitting on Ronda Sant Pau, Barcelona on evening of 19 July 1936, the coup not yet or just defeated. Crowds on streets, a car with militiamen, burning building is Escola Pia religious school. Don't know photographer.
What a strange day in the Iberian blackout. People crowded around radios in street here in el Raval, 100s stuck in Barcelona lifts, metros evacuated along tunnels, shopping for emergency supplies in dark shops, Putin blamed in queues, a poison of our times, whatever real cause
If you are in Barcelona tomorrow, Wednesday 30th or this Friday the 2nd, there are a few places still available for the guided walk on the history of anarchism in the city.

One of the things I love about exploring the history of the anarchist movement is getting into the archives.
In 1897 during her time in exile in London, Teresa penned this article in 'Freedom, A Journal of Anarchist Communism'.
