Such an odd time to be chronically ill: you’re more restricted than ever but also life has never been more accessible. Remote working is the norm. Friends groupchat. Musicians stream concerts. Media give tips on isolation. Suddenly everyone‘s housebound and the world has adapted.
I can't stop thinking about the ways in which 1984, a book all about how language can shape your ability to resist, to rebel, has given us the language to described dystopias and also by its own logic, imprisoned us in a very specific vision and a very specific set of fears.

The world of airport special assistance is so variable. When it’s best is when it’s generously staffed with people who consider disabled passengers to be actual people, not just baggage to transport. I need accommodations but it should always come with dignity too.
