Snoop Dogg explained in 80 seconds why men stopped approaching women.

Do men not shoot their shot anymore because social media turned dating into a simulation?

Snoop says yes, and his reason is better than the usual “phones ruined everything” take.

In his era, getting with someone took real effort. You had to look at her, talk to her, get her to like you, and know her parents and how she moved. You had to get involved before you could get involved.

Now it’s a couple of pictures and a couple of lines, and people expect something real from a few typed words.

The part I found most interesting is his point about texting. A text gives you what he’s typing, not what he’s saying. “You look good today” can read as sweet or creepy depending on the mood of the person reading it. Text has no tone, face or feeling to go with it.

Approaching someone in person is hard on purpose. It makes you learn to read people, handle a no, and become someone worth talking to. When you skip that, you also skip what it would have taught you.

What he calls the cheat code ended up costing men the skill.

Either we collectively agree that Joe Flacco is a Hall of Fame QB or we quit mentioning Joe Burrow in the same breath as Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, and Patrick Mahomes.

[Next Gen Stats @NextGenStats]

All four of Lamar Jackson's touchdown passes targeted a receiver over 10 yards downfield against the Browns.

Since the start of 2024, Lamar Jackson has thrown 32 TD passes over 10 air yards, 10 more than the next closest QB (Joe Burrow, 22).
