Today's events with @POTUS and @ZelenskyyUa will embolden the world's nations to demonstrate with a specific example that the current political and international tone of the United States will neither be definitive nor tolerated. I only hope that we learn the lesson quickly. 2/2
The United States is at the beginning of a very powerful and costly lesson that when we act with support of other nations, we are the most powerful nation on Earth. But when we act as a tyrannical bully, the world becomes a very small, lonely place. 1/2
@AmericaPapaBear This post and replies from the same people who claim that the police “aren’t doing their job” when there’s a theft or break-in. You can’t have it both ways. Requesting identification is well within her rights. I’d be as exasperated as she is if I had to deal with these people.
@greg_payne24 How awesome of you to credit the guy you “recently read about” with his name name and twitter handle while you steal and repost his picture for your own likes, all the while admiring his noble sentiment. “Who? That guy? I have no f**cking idea who he is, I just stole his shit.”

Isaac Asimov - 44 years ago. Never gets old, it seems.
“There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there has always been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.'”

Really nice lady at the office usually arrives early, some time after me.
Mondays and every morning she is loud and happy and engaging whether or not you are ready for her.
Walked past her this morning,"Good morning ,how are you doing this Monday?"
Her answer was muffled ,she didn't raise her head.
Did I say she has big expressive blue eyes?
Like an idiot I said "You don't seem very convincing "
Never really heard her muffle ,no words, just a muffle.
She raised her face, tears, red faced, pain exhausted expression.
Yesterday they had to put their dog to sleep.
I assume everything happened quickly. No indication Friday.
All the more devestating .
We hugged. Words just don't bridge that gulf.
If you've experienced the loss then you instantly feel it.
Are there sadder more devestating losses? Of course ,over our lifetimes.
The loss of a dog or any pet is so overwhelming. In the short term losing them might be the most severe.
They always listen and they are always there.
They are 100% part of you and esctatic to be so.
Their lives for you.
We never think of not sharing life with them. We know of course their time is shorter but in our hearts we can't really believe it.
So so sorry Katie.

@Jedidiahhartley Meh. Your dad, the pope, islam, judaism, all the same horses (unicorns, actually) of different colors bilking people of their money and grabbing power. And none having the truth they claim to have, but people believe them despite evidence of fraud/dishonesty. This is the world.
