Convenience is a valuable commodity baraz. For a lot of teams, it doesn't make sense to build their own team when plug-and-play tech now exists:
- Senior Solana engineers are not only expensive, but difficult to find. For most, it takes months to find the right team before they even start building and most reputable recruitment firms charge 10-15% of the first year salary.
- Maintenance burden forever. Tech needs to be continuously updated. We do that for them.
- Scope for a software build often incorporates much more than just the devs that build it. You need PM's, ops, audits etc.
- Opportunity cost. Engineer resource could be better utilised elsewhere, particularly if pre-built infra is there for them to plug into.
- Flint has been built by a team of Solana veterans. Of course we still make mistakes, but we've ridden many a wave already and are domain specialists, so can likely build this tech much quicker than a fresh team.
- One engineer wouldn't cut it. It'd take a prop firm many months and multiple devs to achieve what we have already.
We reduce the risk drastically. If a team wants to quote on Solana, they try our tech and if they thrive, everyone wins. If they don't, their investment of resource is minimal.
If they do it themselves, that risk increases massively. A team could be 6 months down the line and 100's of thousands of dollars in the hole before they even know its something that is going to work for them long term.
It's hard to beat the energy on Solana. We're excited to be building in such a vibrant ecosystem, and we're doing it all in public.
We've got a LOT planned for 2026 ๐
Spot on Solana just got smoother
@flint_trade_ streamlines quoting on Solana and lets market makers provide Solana liquidity without having to build out Solana-specific infra and talent

@FlintTrade makes quoting on Solana as simple as quoting anywhere else. Market makers no longer need dedicated solana infra or talent to participate, they just show up and quote
I'm excited to share what we have been building for the last few months: Flint, a live prop AMM that streamlines quoting on Solana.
Why Solana? The volume and the users are already here.
๐ Solana was the top chain for DEX volume on all but six days in 2026, capturing roughly 54% of global spot DEX volume over the last six months. Monthly active addresses sit at 35.1M.
So the demand is proven. The barrier is technical. Building a serious latency-sensitive trading system on Solana means knowing the whole stack: RPC architecture, transaction landing, priority fee markets, account management. All before you've even priced a quote.
We built Flint to remove that barrier. Market makers bring their pricing and risk model, pick a quoting style, and plug into our client library. Flint handles quote generation, transaction building, and infrastructure from there.
This is just the beginning. My cofounder @theDavidGorski, the team, and I are excited to show how this architecture and our philosophy extend across new markets and products.
Six months ago, @Josh_E_Wa and I started @flint_trade_ with support/guidance from @Ergonia_.
Our goal: build the next-generation of DeFi on Solana by specifically targeting the current shortcomings.
Since then, we've built a killer team and with their help, laid the foundation for a suite of upcoming programs, services and tools which will unlock the power of Solana for more users than ever.
Very proud to show off our first offering: an end-to-end system which provides access to Solana flow via active liquidity provision mechanisms. The shortcoming addressed here is the necessity to build out Solana-specific infra and talent in order to provide active liquidity on-chain.
@flint_trade_ abstracts away the nuances of the chain like gas, fees, and transaction landing; letting market makers focus solely on pricing and inventory. This is a massive unlock. While there is a fair amount of active liquidity on Solana already, magnitudes more waits on the sideline due to the overhead cost. No more; I believe we'll see that the depth we've had so far is not depth.
A key aspect of the design exemplifies how we think about solutions in the space. While 'nice-to-have' parts of the system are off-chain, the core, the soul, the essence is on-chain. That is something we don't want to compromise on; real DeFi is on-chain and protocols should not incur 'downtime' because 'our' servers go down.
Another thing I/we deeply believe is that the power of real decentralization, composability, transparency and verifiability should speak for itself; a good product is a good product because of its actual domain-specific merits; not just because it's built on a particular platform. For us, Solana is the platform that enables that merit; it's not just a name to tweet mindlessly.
The last while has been very heads-down for me; moving from the infra layer building the block engine and BAM at @jito_labs into the layer-spanning domain between infra and product; has been incredibly brain-stretching but rewarding. Feels great to be applying everything I've learned in the trading and blockchain space in a holistic fashion.
This is just the start; many exciting things lie ahead. Super excited to be more public with this; hoping to write more about the journey.
Always looking for feedback and guidance; so feel free to reach out.
