Tax preparation is full for today. We will offer it again Saturday, March 25th, after which the volunteers move to U of M Flint Riverfront Building for two Saturdays in April.
Thank you to everyone who participated! We are happy to announce that ‘Scary Stories to Share 2022’ by FlintPublicLibrary is on #SoundCloud https://t.co/FRESfcArF8
Friendly reminder that @flintlibrary will be hosting me tomorrow for Booked for Lunch Michigan! I'll do a reading, I'll sell/sign books, we can talk about the ins and outs of publishing and the writers life. I'm really looking forward to it!
The Flint African American Quilters Guild Festival is back! Come out to view the beautiful quilts next Thursday - Saturday and join us for a presentation by quilt artist Lauren Austin on Saturday, October 15th at 2:00pm.
3. You don't have to be an accomplished writer with detailed descriptions or dialog. Just tell us the story like you would tell a friend. Longer stories are not necessarily better stories. We aren't judging your grammar, we just want to be scared.
It's that time of year again, so here's a thread on tips for submitting a Scary Story to Share https://t.co/wzXwx50m4z
1. We want true stories that happened to you or someone you know. Not judging truth scientifically, as long as you believed it in the moment. 1/
2. Stories do not have to be paranormal! True crime or near misses are great. Think about it. Which is scarier, if you hear a noise in the night and no one is there, or someone is there? 2/
