@youawinner24@SenatorNabxrrie@exclivesss@CAVALLIDOLLL@nevercaredboo Also, being legally not guilty does not mean that the event did not occur. You can hit someone with your car and hurt them badly, but they can discuss a private settlement with you so both of you won’t have to go to a court. So by law, you’re not guilty, but you still hurt them.
@youawinner24@SenatorNabxrrie@exclivesss@CAVALLIDOLLL@nevercaredboo That doesn’t make sense, though. If you rape someone, you raped someone. Just because you didn’t feel like you raped someone doesn’t mean you didn’t do it. That’s not how that works. You can’t just eat someone’s food and then say “well I didn’t know they wanted to eat it”
@C8Luna@SeeRacists@AIandDesign I’m talking about that too, though. The 18 year old will have to register as a sex offender for life in Cali if he is charged with statutory rape
@C8Luna@SeeRacists@AIandDesign Additional info: Californias age of consent is 18 + has no Romeo and Juliet laws which is why the 18 year old could be charged for statutory rape for a tiny age gap. Basically most older teens who had sex can technically be charged if reported even if it’s a tiny age gap
@C8Luna@SeeRacists@AIandDesign It’s actually the opposite. An 18 year old can get charged for statutory rape because he had sex with his 17 year old girlfriend. All it takes is one person to find out and report it in Cali.
@Guyinthesky_@wobbledawg I’m aware but the way you’re saying it also harms the people who are genuinely negatively impacted by this. It’s better to just criticize their intention rather than the effect that hurts many people
