@magical_grill @francescalyn 100%. When your hobby isn't a hobby anymore it loses its shine. For me, that hobby was software, and the shine never quite came back. I'm fine with it because I like my career...but I mean, I do very much miss the feeling of it being something that was just for me, in some ways.

@andreasklinger I mean...it is also, quite sincerely, the best tool available for a lot of jobs/teams. It's extremely easy to learn and use, as long as you follow a few simple rules, and unlike most frameworks (because it isn't one) it still pretty much just feels like you're just writing JS.

@Kathy_E_J ❤️ I'm lucky to have some great people in my life who I can be me with without worrying, including people who are both NT and not. Those people are few, though. I feel very fortunate but I guess I mostly just wish the world felt as big to me as it seems to for a lot of NT people.

@Kathy_E_J I wouldn't be afraid to cry. I wouldn't be afraid to stim, or to hide myself away to destim. I would talk to people about things I care about, and not be afraid to just info/feelings dump if I want someone to understand me and don't know how to make the words come out right.
