The Global Positionng System does a single thing, it gives you a precise location for where you are right now.
A Satellite Navigation system utilises the GPS derived position and calculates speed and direction between updated GPS positions.

@JamesMelville There was no vote asking for Scotland to remain in the EU, but there was one asking if they should remain in the UK. Scotland voted No to Indy, UK voted yes to leave.
