Trump learned from Roy Cohn - arguably the worst human ever. Cohn learned from reading Goebbels - the modern master at combining propaganda with sociopathy. It's the same playbook. Lie. Repeat. Admit nothing. Go all in. All the time. Double down. Deflect. Distract. Double down again. Admit nothing. Repeat for eternity.
Even as Trump flails and falters as he processes yesterday's results, he will follow this playbook and double down. Because he doesn't think, he reacts. And he doesn't process evidence; he talks over it. And most of all, because Trump cannot admit fault on matters large or small.
In other words, it's pathological. It's been pathological for decades. And it's all he knows.

My second takeaway from No Kings is that GOP messaging has become so false, so partisan, and at time, so toxic - that I guaranty you it's begun to stir up cognitive dissonance and they're losing voters.
Trump's approval is now at 37%, 24 points underwater. He never shuts up about prices being down, even though they're up; or foreign nations paying the tariffs, which they don't; or how he'll reduce drug prices by 8000% which is mathematically impossible and stupid; or how the shutdown is on Dems which it isn't, and how it's about immigrants, which it's not.
And you see that same cartoonish falsity in the RW influencers' propping up Trump's masculinity and virility, even in the face of his obvious ill health, ramblings, "f" bombs, and erratic energy - and you see this same cartoonish falsity again in their criticism of No Kings.
Their prior characterization of the event being a 'Leftist terrorist gathering' has now morphed into 'Leftists looking too hard like they're trying to have fun.'
What I'm saying here, is that - THEIR messaging has gotten pretty close to 'don't believe your eyes and ears, believe Trump.'
And that's bad optics and it's not flying.
No Kings was a qualified success. Let's do it again soon.
