Hi India,
All humans have breasts. However, breastfeeding. with all its physical, emotional, and biological weight, is carried by *women*. My tweet wasn’t about “causing outrage,” it was about speaking up for women who are increasingly seeing their experiences renamed, reframed, and quietly pushed aside.
The NHS guidance I referenced wasn’t about support - it was about language.
Words matter, and changing “breastfeeding” to “chestfeeding” doesn’t make things more inclusive, it erases the language tied to the real, physical experience of women.
Anyways, my tweet was intended for women who are currently breastfeeding, the ones awake at night, in pain, exhausted, and often unsupported.
Last time I checked, you’re not one of them.
When you surprise your youngest with this beauty from @MicrodotCreativ on her birthday.
Thanks so much for making it so special for her and continue her love of @oasis
The joys of trying to get a driving test in 2025. Yes, first world problems, but come on @DVSAgovuk you need to get a handle on the bots who are booking all the slots and then Reselling them. Waiting until December when started to learn in May is just unacceptable
@caerau10 They’re more worried about kids learning Welsh than actually looking at the real problems in schools and how kids homelives affect them so much
What an evening, the oldest friends are the bestest friends. Not a second of silence, concluded with looking at old school photos and managing to make almost 95% of those in the photos 25 years later. Yep, we’re that old
