We just got a call from the deputy principal at St Kevin’s, son Tom’s school. This morning he was walking from early rugby training back to the railway station to catch the train the short distance to school. 1/3

He was crossing the Tooronga Rd bridge above the Monash Freeway when he saw a woman climbing the guardrails, about to jump off the bridge and in front of the freeway traffic speeding past about 8m below. 2/3

Many years ago the National Museum @nma honoured my father Carmelo Mirabelli by documenting his journey to Australia. Whist the exhibition has now closed I was touched to see several of his items are still on display. Thxs Sammy & staff keeping his story alive
