Hi, I'm Florian, self-taught developer from Germany.
7 years at an agency, freelancing since summer.
Trying to build my own small SaaS products. I tend to overthink and drop ideas, so I'm sharing the process before I talk myself out of it.
0 MRR, 0 products shipped, 1 follower.
At the agency, deadlines were never my problem. Someone else always set them.
With my own projects, nobody does. So I polish forever and ship nothing.
New rule for my Fridays: by the end of the day, one real person has clicked through it. Ugly is fine. Unseen isn't.
i'm an introvert who barely talks to anyone during the week.
turns out replaying to strangers on X is the easiest small talk i have ever done.
no eye contact, time to think, and i can fix the sentence before anyone hears it.
@LoopandPixels π from Germany. Web dev, 7 years at an agency, freelancing now. System design is the part AI hasn't made optional yet: Claude Code writes fast, but someone still has to decide where things live. Looking forward to the daily notes.
@Jacobmalherbe21 270 in production on Cloudflare is wild. I'm on Workers too, building my first SaaS next to freelance work. Tiny deploys, no servers to babysit. What made you go with Cloudflare for your MCP servers?
@borrhensaidi Claude Code all day here, Opus 5.5 is my go-to. Freelance web dev from Germany with client projects and my own SaaS running in parallel, so the terminal tab chaos is very real. Does SwarmPane handle several repos at once?
@RomanShalabanov@X Seven years building other people's products at an agency, now freelancing and finally building my own. Daily stack is Claude Code with Opus 5.5 on top of Cloudflare Workers. Will need a launch platform once something is actually done π
@casparbuilds@X Not a day job, but close: client work Mon to Thu, Friday belongs only to my own SaaS. Nothing live yet. A side-project shop at $1.7k MRR is seriously impressive. How do you keep evenings productive when you're tired?
@chriszhang012 German web dev here, 7 years at an agency, freelancing since summer. Building some small SaaS on the side, and every Friday is blocked for it, no client work allowed. Congrats on 1.5k, 2k doesn't look far.
@froessell@obie I can read the code and still don't trust it until I've clicked through it myself. 7 years at an agency taught me clients never use the happy path. So my test: Claude Code with Opus 5.5 writes it, then I play the most annoyed customer imaginable.
@SandrineZambou@X Nothing live yet, honestly. A couple of small SaaS projects running on Cloudflare Workers, and every Friday belongs to them, no client work allowed. I'll share more once one of them is actually in front of real users instead of just in my commits π
@carlomakes Same struggle here. I'd go with the one closest to done, not the most exciting one. The exciting ones get replaced by a new shiny idea next week anyway.
7 years at an agency taught me how to ship other people's products. Now I'm trying to ship my own.
Where I'm at:
Freelance web dev since July
Building my own SaaS Projects
Claude Code every day, Opus 5.5 is my favorite model
Fridays are 100% for my own projects
Nothing live yet
Goal: a year in Malaysia
Introvert, so this is me posting anyway.
If you're on a similar path, I'd love to follow along.
@ChenChaim42853 My years at an agency made me very good at hitting deadlines other people set. Setting my own is the new skill, so "one real user tries the core flow" as a Friday target just went onto my list. Thanks for that.
