There needs to be a Gentlemen's Agreement against the boosts that look invisible. The grass boost is impossible to see when your opponent is in the air. Plus players are just Bakkesmodding over it with AlphaBoost. Lowkey hurts the spectator viewing experience.
@MainlyYogurt@Lethamyr_RL I agree, let’s look at it from a statistics perspective for lawsuits:
1. Letting someone go with no reason - chances of getting sued successfully are greater than 0%
2. Letting people go due to overhiring and obsoleting positions - chances of getting sued successfully are 0%.
@MainlyYogurt@Lethamyr_RL Again from a literal sense yes, but workplaces have very fluid dynamics. For example, If a boss says something that may be discriminatory because they have issues with performance issues and the person is let go due to performance issues, they may sue for wrongful termination.
@MainlyYogurt@Lethamyr_RL Technically yes, but companys’ fear of lawsuits over wrongful termination would lead to companies utilizing Performance Improvement Plans or the mass layoff strategy mentioned in my initial reply.
@MainlyYogurt@Lethamyr_RL It’s a little bit more complicated, they have to put you on a performance improvement plan (PIP) for a period of time and if people aren’t showing improvement then you can fire them. But if they show even a little bit of improvement they cannot be let go.
@MainlyYogurt@Lethamyr_RL I am also generalizing a bit so take it with a grain of salt. There are a lot of factors to consider, exempt status, company size, length of tenure at the company, etc.
@Lethamyr_RL 2. It is difficult to fire people in states such as California so companies will intentionally overhire to make it easier to fire or let people go during mass layoffs who are not great performers.
@Lethamyr_RL Hi Leth,
Some clarity on this subject: I work for a big pharma company and this is a very common practice to have large layoffs
2 main reasons:
1. It is difficult to continue to give people raises so to keep costs low they will fire and rehire to bring in new cheap talent.
