We're taking a break on looking at the Calgary Flames 2000's draft classes.
Let's look back on one of their best classes of the 1980's.
In 1984 the Calgary Flames selected four players who ended up playing 1000+ games in the NHL including Gary Roberts and Gary Suter who played a huge role in helping the Flames win the Stanley Cup in 1989.
Paul Ranheim played in 354 games with the Flames over six seasons.
Brett Hull was traded to the St. Louis Blues for Rob Ramage and Rick Wamsley.
@salimvalji These "fans" are nothing but bandwagon jumpers. None of these people would cheer for that team if they didn't have 97. Like who would be proud of that fan base when they fight each other win or lose. Terrible take IMO. Oliers were nothing before 97 & will be irrelevant afterwards
@YYCCanuckFan@justinboone I had to by pass 1.10 (10manleague) with the Coleman pick or it would have been Boston. I like Omar profile better just not the spot.
We have to root for the #Flames 1st to be as high as possible but it may also be logical to root for a CGY win over VGK on Thursday because:
- Increases odds that VGK can’t win the Pacific (Pick can’t be 26-28)
- Increases their odds of missing the playoffs (Pick could be 11-14)
