NEVER FORGET: once your culture is gone, it's gone forever.
Government education has (deliberately) failed to teach the Great Books of the West for decades.
So, we started an independent group to study the Western canon together. We're reading the books that form the mind and shape the spirit. The books our ancestors read.
Western Civilization has given us the greatest works ever known, but it takes effort and an open mind to read them. Homer, Plato, Aristotle, Augustine, Dante, Shakespeare, and Milton are not just names in a syllabus, but guides to a deeper and more ordered life.
Join our reading group to study the great works in dialogue with others. We read a new classic every 4-6 weeks, and meet biweekly to discuss.
We are just starting The Brothers Karamazov, the greatest psychological novel ever written. You do NOT want to miss this.
Take out a paid subscription if you'd like to support us and join the discussions directly — it makes a huge difference to the time and resources we can dedicate.
You'll get:
- Live book club discussions (biweekly)
- Access to our incredible community chat
- Essays to guide you through the Great Books
- All past recordings, essays, and podcasts
- Ability to vote on what we read next

@realFETV Rest in peace Randy...I cannot imagine how Kevin is feeling. I'm so glad the documentary you both produced is fully funded for release and coming out in October. You should be so proud of all of my generation you inspired, and many more to come 💔🌹
Laotian national Tou Lue Vang was convicted of sexually abusing a 10-year-old girl in Minnesota.
He was set to be deported until @GovTimWalz issued him a pardon.
Then, I revoked his legal status. @ICEgov has removed him from the U.S. and he will never endanger another American.
A Texas man is taking World Cup tourists four-wheeling, dancing, horseback riding, and shopping at Buc-ee's to give them the best American experience.
Drew Haas of Texas is taking tourists to his 30-acre property to help them make the most of their travels.
"We love this lifestyle. We enjoy every second of it. We just wanna, like, soak it in," one tourist said.
Amazing.
@FLCons This was from one of their episodes. The first time I heard it was when I was a kid in the 70s watching it in reruns after school. When I had to sing this about 10 years ago, I gained much respect for them. It’s an incredibly hard piece to sing correctly. They did a bang up job!
@SteveAg45230@FLCons Yes they did. It was out of their control for the first album or two. They played on the others. Mike and Peter were professional musicians and brilliant players. Micky and Davy had to learn. Mike Nesmith said that is what held them up in recordings. Mike and Peter were amazing.
@Marckymarc71@FLCons Mike and Peter both were professional musicians. They both played guitar, Mike Nesmith was an incredible guitarist. Peter Tork played so many instruments so well, he was the best instrumentalist of the group. Them not playing on their first records was out of their control.
@groundhopper_fc We are glad you’re visiting our lovely country especially in time for our 250th Anniversary! 🇺🇸 it’s been so awesome seeing such wonderful accounts like yours and others posting their American adventures! Enjoy the rest of your time here and come back soon! 😊
@elliotmintz He was the guest star on an episode of “Emergency” in the mid 70s and the experience was one of the things that led him to leave Hollywood and become an EMT. I had so much respect for him.
