@winterssunsets@samanthaaaa01@TYRISPRINT Well if you act like that irl I hope ppl tell you to fix your attitude. Don’t nobody need to know your life story to tell when you’re being obviously rude
@blockchainZach@VicLombardi btw, going double big with Wemby and Luke isn’t even off the table against certain matchups given the spacing and skillset Wemby provides. But Wemby is good enough himself to cover the 4 and 5 and just let everyone else be a wing against most teams even in the playoffs
@blockchainZach@VicLombardi So you just forgot about them having one of the best backup centers in the league in Kornet? Also Carter Bryant is not really who you wanna tout as why their front court is weak going forward. One of the best rookie big forwards this year and is highly regarded around the league
@blockchainZach@VicLombardi Also CB is legit big enough to play center against some lineups already and he’s young as hell. When he’s fully developed, I see no reason he can’t be their own version of AG and also play minutes at the 5 despite starting at the 4
@blockchainZach@VicLombardi Obvi the spurs can improve a lot. But acting like they 2 years out when they’ve set every historical precedent for being a contender other than playoff experience is insane talk. If that matters a lot to you, you could say 1 year at most bc they’ll have the experience next year
@blockchainZach@VicLombardi Did the guy who had 34 points on 17 FTs and 5 blocks not have his “game face” on? Yeah Jok was better down the stretch but how sure are you he’ll be better every game of the series? Wemby hits that runner at the end of regulation (which was very doable) we talking real different
@blockchainZach@VicLombardi What about this means the spurs have zero physicality? All you’re telling me is that they have less experience and are prone to bad clutch time offense, esp compared to nuggets. How is Jokic hitting ridiculous but almost purely finesse shots over Wemby indicative of that?
@blockchainZach@VicLombardi You don’t seriously think the team with the third best defense ITL, who went 6-1 against the top 2 defenses in incredibly scrappy, physical games both times, has “0” physicality do you? And the one time Wemby played DEN it was a wire to wire loss?
@CuhWristChin__ It blows my mind how much this dominates discussion every year. And especially so if teams actually are doing it as much as ppl say. If your goal is a chip, you gotta play all the best team eventually anyway? For legit contenders, they should not be thinking about this
@MJGoat6ix@leviteight@winigoat7 or the legit best offensive rookies ever (Luka), but that’s it. But still that’s being generous and Wemby in advanced metrics beats all of them anyway
@MJGoat6ix@leviteight@winigoat7 a miracle considering his team context. Wemby still had a better offensive rookie year than 90% of ROTY winners and was easily the best defender. I’d say you can split hairs with the guys who were legit great defenders and comparable or slightly better on O, like Bron and Flagg
