Spring burning is now open. Please make sure you have a valid burn permit and activate the permit each day you plan on burning. Monitor the temperature and weather to aid you in keeping your burn project under control. In case assistance is needed, please call 911.
At 1:59:59 a.m. on Nov. 3, we fall back to 1 a.m. Check your smoke alarms when you reset your clocks, and replace batteries and old detectors if needed. We tend to see more home fires during the winter months, so this small action can give you an alert and more time to escape.
Florence area: Fall burning is now OPEN in Ravalli County, until November 30, 2024. Burn permits are still needed and must be activated each time you burn. Be Fire Safe!
It's that time of year where we're going to start seeing school buses on the road again. Be sure to stop for school buses while they load and unload school children. Slow down in school zones and watch for children using cross walks. #MtBacktoSchool
