More than 80 percent of the alumina produced in Ireland was shipped to Russia this year. Russia needs it for weapons systems used to kill Ukrainian children and families, as well as for weapons systems it is also directing against Europe. Perhaps Ireland should reconsider its lobbying efforts and propose adding aluminum to the EU’s next package of sanctions. Just as, incidentally, Russian uranium and fuel rods should have been sanctioned long ago, and Germany must enforce the sanctions so that no more German semiconductors or circuit boards end up in Russian drones. Close the loopholes and implement the sanctions without exception.

De kolonel die de FSB-unit leidt die Navalny heeft vergiftigd is de man van de directeur van het Russisch (anti?)dopingagentschap. Misschien nog even nadenken vooraleer Rusland terug te halen in de topsport.
Obscene thing to say. If you must, say, “I’m sorry but Ukraine is not our problem; we have bigger issues to deal with; Europe should step up”. But to say you’re proud of starving a country of help in the face of lethal aggression? Just don’t understand this man’s morality.
Trump is dismantling the US Forest Service in his biggest smash-and-grab to date, closing ten regional offices and 57 research facilities and handing control of our national forests to pro-logging pols.
Vance's speech in Budapest is truly outrageous:
1. The US vice president campaigns for an enemy of the EU & NATO, but a friend of Putin & China.
2. Vance attacks the EU for pressuring Hungary, but Hungary has received net about 3% of GDP a year from the EU, but it has squandered much on corruption.
3. In effect, Vance argues that the EU should promote corruption just as the Trump administration does.
Trump and Vance fight freedom and the rule of law in favor of autocracy, kleptocracy and Russia.
US foreign policy has hit the bottom.
This level of close collaboration between by senior hungarian and russian government officials is far beyond what even i had imagined: total hungarian subservience to russia as a matter of policy.
This is not just disgusting behavior in and of itself, but a total betrayal by Hungary of its supposed allies in the EU and NATO.
The Hungarian foreign minister is literally coordinating its internal EU negotiations with the russian foreign minister, sharing internal EU documents as a matter of course, and subserviently reassuring Lavrov that the Hungarian government is "at your disposal."
Reading through Szijjarto’s leaked conversations with Lavrov is vomit-inducing on its own, but when Lavrov reveals how the American side wants to get ‘Ukraine out of the way’ to resume business with Russia… I can’t. I feel despair. They are killing us, and you say this?
‼️ This is treason in plain sight. The Hungarian foreign minister has betrayed his country, the EU, and its partners, as well as the values on which the EU is built. In any democratic country, he would already be in prison! Crazy…
A momentous day. One thousand five hundred days of a full invasion by the world's "second strongest" army, yet Ukraine is still not only free, but pushed Russia back huge amounts since 4 years ago today.
I've never missed a single day, with all the news in one🧵
Here's Day 1500
Radio Svoboda just dropped a bombshell investigation based on previously unpublished Russian military radio intercepts from the Kyiv offensive, March 2022.
Key findings:
As we all knew, the “goodwill gesture” was a lie.
Russian units began withdrawing from Kyiv Oblast as early as March 25–26 — days before Moscow announced a pullback at the Istanbul talks on March 29. The intercepts and a recovered soldier’s diary confirm it was a battlefield retreat, not diplomacy.
As we also knew, Bucha was organized.
The 64th Motorized Rifle Brigade (Col. Omurbekov, callsign “Zveno”) ran systematic clearing ops in Bucha and Irpin. A subordinate testified Omurbekov personally ordered killing civilians found with phones and firing on evacuation vehicles. He was later made a Hero of Russia.
War crimes on tape.
Intercepts capture orders to detain, blindfold, and “interrogate” civilians. One exchange ends with a soldier responding to an order to question detainees: “Just kill the fuckers.”
Total disorganization.
Vehicles stalling, weapons failing, artillery hitting their own troops, commanders screaming at subordinates silent for 35 minutes. One officer threatened to bury his gun crew in a field over an 800-meter targeting error.
Looting was systematic and acknowledged.
Soldiers openly admitted stealing food and property from villages. A Russian military doctor from Buryatia filmed himself doing it.
Scorched-earth retreat.
As they pulled back, Russian forces shelled towns and villages indiscriminately to cover the withdrawal — one officer ordered all remaining ammo expended. Those units were then redeployed to the east and south.
The news that Orbán’s people inform Moscow about EU Council meetings in every detail shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone. We’ve had our suspicions about that for a long time. That’s one reason why I take the floor only when strictly necessary and say just as much as necessary.
This case against TicketMaster/Live Nation was supposed to go to trial this week. The DOJ, through multiple administrations, has been preparing for years.
Trump just settled it instead, after firing the head of the antitrust division.
There is apparently no amount of corruption too obvious to scare Trump away from it.
This is the part where the Trump family steals Ukrainan drone tech, sells it to the Russians and starts their own drone company to gruft all the biggest US contracts at 5000% markup.
Exclusive: Ukraine's F-16 fighter jets didn't have enough missiles to shoot down Russian drones and missiles for more than three weeks after supplies from Kyiv's partners dried up just as Moscow was preparing a massive winter air campaign https://t.co/q1G3muMCkk
@MiamiHerald did a story about these men and the prosecution memo (as well as the FBI PowerPoint) about three weeks ago. We were the first to report about the memo. Here is a gift link to our article: https://t.co/cuAbgPH5MN
