@Happythassassin I feel like it's more compelling if the Toxiterror Majik cared too much for humanity, making the trial pretty much a free pass (since the difficulty of the trials correspond to how much loathing they have for humanity), but I'll trust the mangakas whichever direction they choose
@vanquisherwitch Honestly, I didn't even consider this aspect, but it would make a lot of sense that she'd try to take her power for a 'test drive' and use it on him
I'm curious about who dubbed Fujimine the Vanquisher Witch. While it's clearly related to her ability to 'vanquish' other people's memories, the Magikeepers had no information on her, and it's surely a title she picked up before her defection (assuming she was a witch already)
@lumi_nescentt I wonder if it's because Libro's death being tied to Dess committing herself to being the greatest witch is so intrinsic to her motivations, that it would be weird for Fujimine to insert herself in place of Libro while still being alive, and maintains consistency for Dess
@ey_liey I wonder if the story would've been better off without the detail that the Shaka wood is inherently toxic to all women, because their exclusion from the Magikeeper tradition would be pretty intriguing to analyse otherwise
@TwifairyCosplay There's definitely a lot of stigma around starting magic education as an adult, considering pretty much every witch is born into magic and learns from a young age
@Jakuri_0 If Megumi was seriously going for the kill on Kirara then he could've instructed Divine Dog to slash her when it got pulled towards her, but instead he let go of his advantageous position (after having her subdued) to show they were negotiating in good faith
@akemuus Tbf the fatalising is getting overdone but also don't think OP is a fair comparison, since that gets a scheduled break every 3 weeks (would be nice if more mangakas doing it weekly got that but alas)
@fuedalreese The scary part is if other witches get complacent if they only see pointed hats around them, and think it’s safe to use their magic carelessly and reveal the secret
@TakifuguToxin I think the premise for Hero Org on MangaPlus is pretty deceptive in that the main intrigue is the political aspects rather than the action (although there is a focus on that), and Talentless Nana is smth that grew on me the more I read
