One of the things I didn't anticipate with Fiki's loss was the heaviness of Flounder's grieving. I know she loves deeply. (Mouse Toy) But I didn't know exactly what to expect, how she would process the info I gave her, and if I was giving her the best info I could.

Well, we all saw this coming...Mouse Toy is potty trained now. A few things here: 1. Yes, I'm aware how ridiculous my life is. 2. I now have a mini flushing toilet with happy poop (because of course Mouse Toy poops happy poop) in my bathroom.

It's hard being a purrmaid. This Flounder Meatloaf wants to swim at the "beach" (sand bar) ALLLLLLL the time.

Luckily, we have discovered when it rains a lot, we get a pretty decent puddle in the yard that is big enough to play with remote control shark toy.

Flounder is getting SO efficient with her tantrums. She doesn't pause to think as long - she's just ready to fire. She is doing back paw presses, front paw presses, screaming all at the same time!

I've heard pretty much every excuse there is as to why you don't want to give your pets "the gift of gab", but this one is by far the most common: "My pet will be so annoying. He/she already has too much to say."

This is not the case. At all. Don't knock it before you try it.

I try to stay on a consistent schedule because that's what Flounder likes, but it's also good for me too.

If I stray from that schedule at all, Flo will tell me about it. It's good to have a reminder to stop working and play shark in the bathtub 😹
