ROQUE REPORTEDLY ARRESTED BY DUTCH POLICE

Former Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque was reportedly arrested by Dutch authorities in The Hague, Netherlands, according to a report by Abante on Tuesday, November 25.

Citing an unnamed source, Abante said Roque was taken into custody by Immigration Police at his residence in The Hague. He was later brought to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol Terminal 3, where he was said to be held along with several asylum seekers.

The report also stated that Dutch authorities were considering two possible destinations for Roque: deportation to Vienna, Austria, or repatriation to the Philippines.

Roque had allegedly just undergone a medical procedure and did not have medical clearance to travel, the source added.

The Pasig Regional Trial Court had earlier ordered the cancellation of Roque’s passport in connection with a qualified human trafficking case linked to an alleged illegal POGO operation in Porac, Pampanga.
