Most referral programs in crypto are designed around one moment: the signup.

Get someone through the door, collect your bonus, move on. Whether that person ever uses the product again is someone else's problem.

I've always found that misalignment strange.
You're essentially paying people to fill a funnel with noise.

So when we designed the referral program for MWX Alpha, we started from a different question: what if the referrer only gets paid when the product actually retains the person they brought in?

That changes the incentive entirely.
