The silence in my brain is deafening’ speeding away on neurons through pathways of what at my age, should be blissful renderings of memories of childhood, motherhood, and all the good and graceful moments of a life well lived. But this morning, this morning, my brain is less than capable of unraveling the psyche of a society that suffers killing so easily, carelessly reasoning lame justification for the senseless assassination of a husband, father, role model and mentor of youth and millions of like-minded citizens of this great country.

Perhaps you didn’t agree with Charlie Kirk’s ideas, morality, and outspoken ways. You didn’t have to agree. You are free NOT to agree. But are you SO insecure in your own ideas and opinions, that one of you had to eliminate Him? That you feel the need rejoice in the murder of another man, beloved by so many. That you have to revel in the aftermath of his death, taking to social media, TicTok-ing with sparkling eyes and gleeful laughter? Who ARE you? Shame on you! Shame on a world that allows the destruction of a faithful society through elimination! Shame on us all for averting our eyes, pretending not to see!
