our amazing hosts!
It was truly fun to experience gift-sending on the FlowMingle platform in a real-life setting!
Adding more gift options in the future could make it even more exciting.

Sent out my very first gift 🎁 on FlowMingle!
A Small Token of Appreciation for Our Kind Yoga Instructor Yan, founder of Panther Yoga.
Though the gift is small, it carries big gratitude. Hopefully, in the future, when we have more resources, we can send even better gifts to

In my early 20s I had a hard time finding new friends and social scenes. Wherever I was, I’d eventually find one group I got along with, but sometimes it took a while.
By my mid-20s I stopped *looking* for existing friend groups to join, and started *organizing* groups and events around things I care about. This creates new friends groups, and it turns out this also brings me into contact with far, far more preexisting friend groups that I want to join, because one of their members comes to my event, and maybe she brings her friends to the next one or maybe she asks me to join her roleplaying game or whatever. Now I’m part of many different overlapping communities and friend groups, enough that I can’t easily count them all.
This works for basically everyone I know who’s tried it. Most people won’t do it because they feel like they don’t have permission from the universe, or because it requires a decent amount of legwork to organize things and they’d rather just benefit from the events others throw without shouldering any of the burden themselves, but if you appoint yourself to the position and put in the effort then it works pretty reliably. If you build it, they will come. I’m not saying you’re gonna singlehandedly Solve The Meaning Crisis or whatever fancy term they’re using today, but you can absolutely solve the “How do I make friends out of college” problem.
I couldn’t think of a better time to make a new version of a company like Meetup. So many gen Z / millennials are already hosting grouped events with strangers.
Aggregate all of the events, make it searchable, then treat all the hosts like gold and make them love you.
