I just finished taking a shower and got back to my bedroom after a very long, exhausting day. I feel like I need to write down my feelings today😔

This morning, since it was a public holiday, I went out early with my mom. We had a lot of things to do and look for. Our first stop was ramen. I was eating normally and finishing my food, then after I was done, I opened Instagram and started scrolling through my feed. I was enjoying browsing preloved bag accounts until I came across his post, a white paper filled with handwritten text.

I immediately messaged my friend on WhatsApp (P.S. I attached the chat screenshot here, the message was sent just two minutes after his IG post, it was all happening in real time). After seeing that post, I literally kept my head down and started crying in the restaurant. My head felt tingly. When we left the restaurant, I cried even harder in the car. My mom asked me to stop, but I didn’t know how to.
We still continued the rest of our day, grocery shopping and looking for things I needed. I tried really hard to hold back my tears since we were in public places the whole day, but they kept coming out anyway, even though I was trying my best to hold them in.

I know things like this happen a lot in this industry. But I still can’t believe this news came from him. It never once crossed my mind that he would leave the group and the agency, especially as someone who has been in almost every NCT units. This is the hardest member departure I’ve experienced in my six years as a K-pop fan. NCT has lost members before, but this time it really hits me deeply. I’m still crying and trembling while writing this post.
But I want to keep this moment for myself in the future, so I feel like I need to write it down here.

I’m very grateful that I never missed a chance to watch a 7Dream concert over the past three years. Deep in my heart, I was hoping for many more years with 7Dream, but I guess that won’t happen. This might be TMI, but I just started my very first job, and one of my main motivations for working is to fulfill my dream of going to their concerts. I really wanted to watch more than one show on every 7Dream tour. It makes me so sad knowing that won’t happen.

Lastly, for Mark Lee🐯, I hope he’s happy with his decision, and I hope he doesn’t disappear from this industry. I promise I’ll come to your solo stage someday. It hurts to imagine not hearing his voice in future NCT songs, and the emptiness that will be left after he’s gone.

To echo what you once said to us, thank you for being my happiness for the past six years. I hope you’ll still be a part of my happiness in the future too💚
