The Port of Mombasa welcomes MSC Poesia, a luxury cruise liner from the Mediterranean Shipping Company.
She is carrying 2500 passengers from different nationalities and 1000 crew members of which twenty are Kenyans.
With a length overall of 294 metres, MSC Poesia is one of the biggest cruise vessels to have docked at the Port, coming barely a month since the port hosted another luxury liner, Norwegian Dawn.
To be able to add value and support Cruise Tourism, KPA has invested in the requisite infrastructure, including the state-of-the-art cruise terminal to cement Kenya’s status as a hub not only in cargo operations but also cruise tourism in Africa.

Well done @kipmurkomen for the changes at KAA, that's the only remedy for inefficiency and ineffectiveness. We hope that Henry Ogoye we bring in some fresh blood to the operations and performance of the KAA. #KPLC
Airport operations are very sensitive worldwide. That's the heartbeat of a country in terms of exit and entry. Last night occurrence at JKIA is regrettable and those given mandate to run the operations at JKIA must take responsibility. @kipmurkomen
The last 10+ hours have been the worst in the history of our country, thanks to KPLC. That's how Nigerians and South Africans live on daily. Not having electricity for hours is normal to them, not to us. We be in the pits but huwa tuko way far ahead than so many Countries.
Imagine South Africa's GDP stands at $399 billion while UAE GDP is $499 billion. I don't understand why Jacob Zuma and the Gupta Brothers are not hanging from a lamppost in Sweto!
