1. What is #SpaceFluff? In a nutshell, it's #CitizenScience project on the #zooniverse platform that aims at the identifying an classifying dim objects ( or Fluffy Faints) in the Fornax cluster

Proud to share with you our latest paper about the photometric decompositions of galaxies in the FDS led by Alan Su:

The paper includes structural analysis of more then 500 dwarfs and other galaxies in the Fornqx cluster.
We are officially done! @the_zooniverse, thank you for your wonderful platform, and a huge huge thank you to all the volunteers that contributed. Looking forward to the science that will come out of this!
Just three days ago, the Estimated Time of Completion for the project was 20 days. Now it's 7. Whoever gets to manage this project after me better treat the volunteers right๐ค you all always always defy expectations
It's the last day of 2020, and here at #SpaceFluff we want to wish everyone the best possible future in the new year. I started working (on and off) on this project a week before lockdown, and tomorrow will be my official last day. It's been quite the ride
What about the future? Once the project is over, all the images and data will be made public. We decided we wanted to make as much as possible the citizens part of the science. Stay tuned, and contact us if you'd like analyze the results: we look forward to working with you
Coming back from the holidays and seeing more than 100 new pages of comments on the project sure gets you back to work with a smile! I hope I can catch up with all of your questions๐ช๐ช๐ช
Interested in the wonders in our universe? Did you know you can help to classify them with citizen-science project @the_zooniverse project @fluff_space? https://t.co/w1FsHB5uzT
A good Monday to everybody! On our second week of launch, we are starting to see some color in the 'complete' bar: barely there but so significant and full of surprises, just like our galaxies!
These histograms really tell a story: from our beta launch in September, to the current launch, #zooniverse volunteers have been receptive and enthusiastic- and a pleasure to talk to!
With new volunteers joining the fun, and classifications adding up, we are starting to see our first few completed subjects! Can't wait to do some sweet sweet science on them
Really amazing to see how far we have come: our main workflow in ~20 days away from being completed (not taking the holidays into account, of course) and daily classifications are still going up!
