@SpectralAurora_ He's not saying it as an attack, it's a poor attempt at a joke.
He's referencing this scene from a comedy that's far more successful than anything he's put out in the last 15 years

@PossumVxmit@fesshole Depending on where in the UK this was ambulance response times can be grim, I remember driving a housemate at uni (in rural Wales) to hospital whilst he had a stroke because the dispatcher said an ambulance might take 45 mins
@tautology0@fesshole Nobody is forcing this guy to be married to a Catholic, being in a relationship necessitates sometimes doing stuff you'd rather not do for your partner's sake.
@manuel_tropinka @colonelwheel@TheOmniLiberal This is retarded but it's how Marx thought, it's why you and almost everyone on earth rightly rejects this as horse shit
@manuel_tropinka @colonelwheel@TheOmniLiberal Because a teacher's wages are unassociated with the production that generated the money to pay them.
Marx's class theory is all about your job and how it relates to the means of production. A teacher produces nothing they don't engage in production which makes them bourgeois
@colonelwheel@TheOmniLiberal The definition is dumb AF as by those standards a teacher is not working class whilst a CEO is but this is why most people reject Marx, unfortunately a lot of people on the left still emphatically support socialism.
@colonelwheel@TheOmniLiberal In leftist circles they tend to use Marx's definition which relates to your relationship to production.
If you make something, or in any way contribute to production (ie sell something or organise production of something) you are working class by socialist standards
@discordspies As a marine biologist its always super annoyed me when people talk about micro plastics as they massively overhype their harm
I've not seen a paper that demonstrated any measurable harm caused by micro plastics at an ecologically relevant concentration, we should focus elsewhere
@CerberusXt Your mind is gonna be blown when you learn about planes my guy.
People can originate from somewhere other than where they currently reside, they can even gain citizenship making them eligible to vote.
None of this is a rebuttal to anything he said.
@Fpl_pain@fesshole An awful lot, for example teachers have to write reports on kids where they are using two or three points of data to write ~200 words to send home
Using a closed version of gpt is something a lot of schools do as it makes writing reports a 1 hour job instead of a 5 hour ordeal
@CountDankulaTV I mean the reason which you're conveniently omitting is that he specifically and openly targeted school routes and said this was because he wanted to indoctrinate children.
I'd expect the state to keep kids away from groomers like Sam.
@Ratburn_the_Red@Insanity_Prawn@largacty1 In what universe is chicken shredded in mayo a salad?
The audacity of complaining about us calling a chicken burger a burger then calling that salad lmfao
@discordspies As a teacher I will say there's fairly strong evidence to suggest behaviour in secondary pupils is really bad right now in comparison to previous cohorts, and that it's getting substantially worse
