Core PPI (MoM): 1.0% vs 0.3% est ❌
PPI YoY: 6.0% vs 4.9% est ❌
PPI MoM: 1.4% vs 0.5% est ❌
Core PPI YoY: 5.2% vs 4.3% est ❌
Prior revisions:
• PPI YoY revised 4.0% → 4.3%
• PPI MoM revised 0.5% → 0.7%

Takeaway:
This is HOT inflation data.

Producer prices surged across the board and prior data was revised even higher.
That means inflation pressure is not cooling… it’s accelerating again.
This is the type of data that can:
• Push rate cut expectations further out
• Pressure growth stocks
• Increase volatility across markets
