@KatherineAbra I remember in April 1997, my mom (Registered Nurse) and her colleagues were ferried to and from work on a fleet of local snowmobiles, all driven by volunteers, as the roads were impassible. I think it was mom’s first time on a sled! 🤣 Manitobans at their best.
@jackielconnell@K9AdvocatesMb This is my Mordecai. He is an SPCA rescue from eight years ago, and he is the best boy. He also looks great in red. Also- thank you for this thread- the negativity elsewhere is suffocating!
@KatherineAbra I just saw this earlier today-
Interesting to reflect on. I:
1) wouldn’t have been born, as my dad would’ve died of polio, but saying I had been born, I’d have died of
2) appendicitis, age 4
3) croup; age 5
4) pneumonia; age 39.
Hallelujah for modern medicine.
I had so much fun hanging out with the grade 7s @ERHS1947 talking about reconciliation & encouraging the student leaders to action!

River Heights human rights clubs received a $500 grant from the Winnipeg Police Service in order to carry out projects of inclusion here at our school. Thanks so much! It's #Cool2BKind! @wpgpolice
So honoured to meet and speak with Mr. Sutherland this morning. What a gift to my classroom and to Manitoba’s continued efforts to bring this education to all of our students.
Ms. Wiebe, Mme Abra and Ms Thanisch had the honour of meeting White Spotted Horse (Allen Sutherland) who created the Indigenous Historical Timeline, which is the basis of our T&R course. Ms Wiebe asked many questions on behalf of our students. #MTSPDDAY
So proud of students @ERHS1947 who raised funds last year to support education and recreation opportunities for students in Garden Hill. Thanks to their efforts, students in grades 4-6 will be starting the year with some new tools for their life skills class!
The @ERHS1947#GSA is encouraging students and staff to help celebrate #Pride2018 by wearing the colours of the #prideflag over the course of next week. Monday is Red Day!
