King Charles inherited £650m tax free, gets £354m a year tax free from the tax payer including £132m personal spending money and has an estate worth £22bn that’s never taxed.

Half of England is in drought. 40% of us are under a hosepipe ban. Here’s what the water companies did with the 35 years they were given:
💧 2.87 billion litres leaked every single day. Nearly one in five litres put into supply, lost.
💧 A national hosepipe ban saves about 577 million litres a day. Five times less than they leak. They ration us to cover their own failure.
💧 25 reservoirs sold off. Not one major new reservoir built since 1992.
💧 England faces a 5 billion litre a day shortfall in public water supply by 2055.
💧 £85 billion paid out in dividends since privatisation.
💧 £0 of debt in 1989. Over £70 billion now. Borrowed against your bills, to pay their shareholders.
💧 Almost a third of your bill goes on servicing that debt and paying dividends. Not on pipes.
💧 Thames Water took a £3 billion rescue loan at 9.75% interest. You pay for that too.
💧 £25.3 million in pay for chief executives and finance directors last year, up on the year before, despite a bonus ban. Thames handed £4.1 million to senior staff the ban didn’t cover.
They didn’t fail to fix the pipes because it was hard. They didn’t fix them because leaking is cheaper than investing, and the money got pissed away to the assorted circus of vulture capital.
We don’t need better regulation of them. We don’t need tighter control of them. We need to own it.
Public ownership. Nothing less.
Thames Water's finance director given a £1,000,000 signing on bonus.
Water industry depravity hits an all time low. Their contempt for customers and the environment clearly knows no bounds.
When are govt going to intervene and put a stop to this? @andyburnham@angelaeagle

The BBC refuse to hold scammer Farage to account. MPs are meant to declare ALL gifts over £300 in the calendar year leading up to their election.
I refuse to look away. Repost if you feel the same.
Labour is a success:
24 months of continuous growth
6 interest rate cuts
UK stock market outperforming US for 1st time in 13 years
70 000 illegal immigrants deported
40% of Tory hotels closed
456 000 children out of poverty
2 largest increases ever in State Pension
& more
I rarely ever comment publicly on parliamentary Labour politics anymore but I know so many (albeit quietly) feel the same as I do.
I first joined the Labour Party when I was 16 years old, under Ed Miliband. I’m now 28, meaning I’ve been an active member for over 12 years.
A Labour government is rare. Do they always get it right? Absolutely not. But every single one has brought about profound changes for the better of the working class.
Many members just like me have spent over a decade campaigning to give us a chance in government. It’s an absolute kick in the teeth to watch so many MPs urge Starmer to resign & leave their own positions they were apparently ‘comitted’ to when Starmer won a landslide victory 2 years ago, and a leadership contest before that.
It comes across as unstable, insecure, and incredibly individualistic. It echoes of the exact behaviour the Tories exemplified for almost 15 years. The behaviour the country were fed up of & voted out!
In my sector, I’ve seen in real-time the positive changes this government have already made. Realistically, we knew we wouldn’t have long, and we were to make the most of this term.
Purity politics is the enemy of progress.
Reform have control of fewer than 10% of councils. That’s it.
Now is not the time to run scared.
Keir Starmer should stay on. This is the final chance.
But for fucks sake, hire a digital team who understands social media, which is where Reform is winning support and subsequently winning elections.
As one Labour voter told me recently: “Where the hell even are they?”
YOUNG PEOPLE. LISTEN UP.
Today Nigel Farage said the government should cut the minimum wage for young people

Orbán and his team have started spreading Russian-style disinformation. They are sending out messages falsely claiming that our candidates are withdrawing. TISZA is not withdrawing anywhere; we are running with a real chance of winning in every constituency.
You can be opposed to the Iranian regime AND the reckless bombing of their school kids and civilians.
You can support the troops AND be opposed to sending them into senseless wars.
You don’t have to be antisemite to decry the Israeli regime’s genocidal rampage in Gaza and Lebanon.
Don’t get sucked into false binary choices.
Don’t let morons and zealots impose their idiotic view of the world.
Cuba is experiencing nationwide blackouts, and clinicians have requested N95s. I will donate a dollar for every RT this gets in the next hour.

Researchers at UC Irvine took saliva samples from a choir before and after performing Beethoven. One antibody, the most abundant in your entire body, spiked 240%.
That antibody is called secretory immunoglobulin A. Mouthful of a name, but it does a simple job: it coats your throat, gut, and airways and acts as your body’s first barrier against every cold, flu, and respiratory virus you breathe in. Your body makes more of it than all other antibody types combined.
The 2000 study found this antibody rose 150% during rehearsals and 240% during the live performance. A separate 2004 study from the University of Frankfurt tested what happens when choir members just listen to the same music instead of singing it. The antibody barely moved. And their mood actually got worse.
Marathon runners show the exact opposite. A study of 98 competitive runners found this same antibody dropped 21 to 31% after the race. 17% came down with colds or throat infections within two weeks. Cross-country runners tracked over a full season saw it fall to 40% of their starting level by November. Running was suppressing the same antibody that singing was tripling.
It works through the vagus nerve, the longest nerve in your body. It runs from your brain down through your chest to your gut and controls your “rest and digest” mode. When you sing, your vocal cords physically vibrate against it where it wraps around your voice box. You’re also breathing from deep in your belly with long, slow exhales, which tells your nervous system to calm down. Your stress hormones drop. Your immune system responds.
A 2016 study from the Royal College of Music and Imperial College London tested 193 cancer patients and carers across five choirs in South Wales. One hour of group singing lowered cortisol (the body’s main stress hormone) and raised five different immune signaling proteins. The people with the worst depression scores improved the most.
You don’t need to be good at it. The boost comes from the physical act, the vibration and the breathing, not the melody. Trained soprano or shower singer, your body responds the same way.
One caveat: that 240% number came from a live performance, where adrenaline and emotional intensity were at their peak. Singing along to the radio probably produces a smaller spike. And these are temporary boosts, not permanent changes. But the 193 cancer patients in the 2016 study weren’t performing Beethoven on stage. They were just singing together for an hour in community choirs.
The "Headache" that kills in 24 hours.🧵
As a doctor, this is the one diagnosis that genuinely scares me. Bacterial Meningitis doesn't give you days to "wait and see." It gives you hours. By the time you realize it's not just a flu, it’s often too late.
👉Stop scrolling and memorize these 3 clinical red flags:
1. The Fused Neck: This isn't a "stiff muscle" from sleeping wrong. If you have a fever and literally cannot touch your chin to your chest - that is Nuchal Rigidity. It’s an emergency. Period.
2. The "Glass Test" Rash: If you see tiny purple pin-pricks on the skin, press a clear glass firmly against them. If the spots don't fade/disappear under the glass, your blood is leaking. That’s Septicemia. Run to the ER.
3. Agonizing Photophobia: It’s not just "bright lights are annoying." It’s a physical, painful wince at a smartphone screen or a bedside lamp.
👉How to actually stay safe?
1. Mask up in crowds: It’s a respiratory drop infection. If there’s an outbreak in your school/hostel, a mask is your best friend.
2. Stop sharing everything: Vapes, spoons, water bottles, cigarettes. If their saliva is on it, the bacteria is on it.
3. Hygiene: Wash your hands like your life depends on it.
4. Vaccines: Check your records for MenACWY/MenB when you have a minute. It’s the ultimate insurance policy.
