Day 12 of counting down to #TheGreatImpersonator, October 25th
The new album takes place across decades, so I feel it’s only right to honor the album I wrote a decade ago.
THE GREAT IMPERSONATOR #12: Badlands Halsey, circa 2015
TRACK 15: HURT FEELINGS
This is everything that's wrong with social media and the world today. I know nothing about One Direction or Liam Payne's music, but to write something like this when a young life has been extinguished is abhorrent.
Soulless.
the fact that the first thing men do when given any form of new technology is to harm women is so insanely scary and realistic. AI has single-handedly sent back women’s rights and safety behind decades. i hate all of you.
So happy that the next chapter of boy is out. I wrote “Close my Eyes” as I headed into my late twenties and felt a wave of fear and anxiety towards my youth slipping away from me. This song helped me find myself… maybe it can help you in some way too. Thank you for listening, as always. All my love, Luke.
