honestly, this is just my two cents — feel free to scroll if you think it’s not for you.

i’m genuinely baffled by the qrts, speaking on things without giving a thought. why tf do people think it’s okay to go to the airport just to welcome artists? i get it, you’re excited to see them, and that’s completely valid. but showing up like that only fuels problematic behaviour — stalking, crowding, even putting the artists at risk.

sure, some people might act respectfully, or maybe this is part of a “fan culture” you justify — but let’s be real, humans can get obsessive. and when that obsession crosses the line, then what?

you compare it to welcoming family members at the airport, but that’s not the same thing. that’s family. no one reports on those moments or sends photographers to capture your relatives coming home.

and that’s exactly the point — when it involves public figures, it’s no longer a simple “welcome.”it becomes a spectacle. crowds form, people start recording, media gets involved, and suddenly it’s no longer a safe or respectful environment for anyone — not the artists, not the fans, not even the airport staff. there have been real cases where artists got hurt or cornered in these situations.

that’s also what people often overlook. it’s not about “just waiting quietly.” it’s about the crowd it attracts, the cameras, the noise and the chaos that follows. it escalates so easily, and it’s the artists who end up overwhelmed or unsafe.

at the end of the day, this isn’t about gatekeeping anyone’s excitement. it’s about respect and boundaries. airports aren’t fan meeting spots or zoos, they’re shared public spaces.

showing love doesn’t mean being physically present everywhere an artist goes. you can love someone’s art deeply without invading their personal space. admiration doesn’t have to be loud or physical to be genuine. sometimes, the kindest way to show love is to simply respect their peace and boundaries.
