This came across my feed - 2 Valid IDs, one of the films featured at this year’s Cinemalaya. Di ko pa siya napanood, but the premise already hits a little too close to home. 😭

Pokwang plays a woman who needs to claim money for her husband’s medical treatment, only to find out na kailangan niya ng dalawang valid IDs. And from there, getting those IDs becomes its own bureaucratic nightmare. And honestly, ang sakit kasi this is a reality a lot of Filipinos have already gotten used to. Yung simpleng “2 valid IDs required” na line can be a fcking nightmare if you don’t have them in the first place.

Parang kailangan mo munang patunayan na existing ka bago ka payagang kumuha ng proof na existing ka. 😭 Mio, Pilipinas, ano na???
