South Korea doesn’t love war, so stop talking absolute bullshit. Korea discussing how to protect its own ships and energy supplies doesn’t mean Koreans are begging for war. President Lee already said South Korea won’t send troops to participate in or intervene in the Iran war.

And before you come here lecturing Koreans about “war,” maybe look at China’s own record. The UN has documented serious human rights violations against Uyghurs and other predominantly Muslim communities in Xinjiang.

And yes, there have been incidents in Korea involving Chinese nationals damaging or removing Taiwan flags and other political symbols. That doesn’t mean every Chinese person does it, but pretending these incidents never happen is just fucking dishonest.

Nobody here needs your permission to care about Korea’s security. Korea will decide what Korea does.

Logically, Korea getting directly involved would make the situation much more complicated. South Korea already has North Korea sitting right next door, and if North Korea decides to join the game, this stops being just a conflict between the USA and Iran. Suddenly you could have multiple countries getting involved, different military fronts opening up, and a much bigger regional war.

And what exactly is the genius plan then? 😂

People like you online talk about war like it’s a video game. “Just help this side, attack that side.” Easy to say when you’re sitting behind a phone. Soldiers are the ones who actually have to go there and come home in body bags.

If Australia were ever in a situation like this, where another country was attacking us and threatening our sovereignty, I would absolutely support receiving help from our allies.

But imagine the situation were reversed. If Australia were the country attacking another nation and then asking our allies to help us attack that country, I would never support that.

For me, there is a big difference between helping an ally defend itself from an attack and asking allies to join an offensive war against another country. Being allies doesn’t automatically mean you have to support every military action your ally takes.
