FLYBRAIN is making this experimental effort public. While the hardware body has been fully assembled and wired, both the cord test and smoke trial encountered obstacles, and the system has yet to demonstrate stable walking capability.

The project embraces full transparency around its current state. It rejects manufactured project timelines, keeps all setbacks visible, and does not rely on curated, idealized presentations to misrepresent its progress as established scientific results.

FLYBRAIN starts from a real fruit fly connectome: 165,122 neurons, millions of synaptic entries, and a nervous system mapped from biology rather than invented from prompts.

The goal is simple: put the fly’s measured brain into a body, expose every result, and let the numbers speak.
