This is a man who spent his last group live before enlistment making it clear how much his hair means to him, nearly broke down showing us his shaved head because ARMYs asked him to, spent 18 months counting down the days until he could grow his hair out again, and he would have the freedom to choose how he could express himself after having his individuality ripped away from him.
A man who fought his company because this is what he wanted.
Don't you fucking dare tell him to cut his hair or demand for him to change his appearance or express himself a certain way because it's what you want. You don't matter!
Talking to an ARMY friend about 'NORMAL', the part where Jimin sings 'Will you color me red? Will you color me blue?'
I was telling her that I see it as The Matrix, in that you have to choose if you color them red (reality) or blue (a dream, stay in the Matrix).
If you color them blue you'll keep seeing them as idols, puppets with strings, you can make them dance as you please, idolize them & distort their identities to satisfy your own fantasies.
If you color them red, you'll face reality: they're human beings just like you, and if you're able to see them as such you will partake in the joy of sharing a love for music, friendship and good values in life.
I choose red, ARIRANG's color. Because the other option is just not NORMAL.
jimin in 2015: in 10 years i will be a man that whole world wants.
jimin, a man that the whole world wants in 2025: I think I only got this far, because I knew I'd get here
People keep asking how Jimin-biased are doing after that performance, since even non-bias got completely pulled in and started questioning everything… and honestly? We’re not okay. It’s like being bias-wrecked by your own bias.
