🇵🇰 Pakistan’s BVR Missile Arsenal Is Reaching New Heights!

Pakistan has demonstrated its BVR capabilities in combat, employing AMRAAMs against Indian Su-30s and MiG-21s, and PL-15 missiles in engagements involving Rafale fighters during the May 2025 conflict.

Now, Pakistan has tested its indigenous FAAZ air-to-air missile, adding another dimension to its growing missile capabilities.

And if Pakistan manages to acquire China's PL-17, with its estimated 400 km range, it would be the cherry on top!

The fact that FA'AZ is a BVR missile equipped with an IIR seeker means it could hypothetically be used to counter stealth aircraft. An AWACS could detect and track the stealth jet, provide targeting data for a BVR launch, and the missile could then use its onboard IR seeker during the terminal phase to acquire the target through its heat signature and potentially score a hit.
