I like the fact that people are pushing for this case to not just sit with the police, it should be handled by the ministry of justice. #justiceforibee
I am not even surprised, honestly. Same thing happened in a private school, where a boy perceived to be gay and who was clearly effeminate was lynched by his fellow students. There was no arrest btw. Some even justified their actions. We are slowly breeding monsters.
What saddens me even more is that Ibee’s story happened in an educated environment, within a school community, among students... These are the very people who are supposed to be enlightened... This country truly has a very long way to go…
I have been screaming “blood of Jesus” after reading so many post concerning this late boy's death!!
He was accused of stéaling a phone, he was innocent. They tortured him to death!
A young beautiful vibrant boy unalived for nothing
I can't stop thinking about he must have wept bitterly and pleaded.
I can't still phantom how cruel some humans are
My prayers and condolences are with the family and friends. Only God can heal such wounds
Them dey beat fellow student for inside student lodge and nobody get common sense to say "E don do, make we carry matter go police station". Even if he stole 10 phones.
@Chimdimma92 Most of them are gay but can’t come out
It’s envy
I saw someone say one of d pple beating him was expelled 4 homosexuality.
They dine with ritualist, politicians, rapist but can’t even report a gay man to d police if they hate homosexuals so much.
They get off by torturing them
I just watched the video of the jungle justice that was done to this boy. His name is Ibee. They killed this fine young man in the most brutal and wicked way. He was accused of stealing an ordinary iPhone 12. They didn’t even catch him with the phone to start with.
We are too wicked in this country walahi.
The saddest part about Ibee’s homicide is that the chances of him getting justice seem painfully slim.
For perspective, it took nearly five years of legal proceedings before those convicted for the murder of the four UniPort students were finally sentenced to death. Justice in cases like these is often painfully slow and far too often, it never comes at all in Nigeria.
Seeing Black gay/queer men making fun and light of ATLTayh, a.k.a. Horace Maurice Dillard Jr., crying in prison about having to be a passaround by providing oral sex to many of his fellow inmates for survival is the most callous and reprehensible thing I've seen in a long time.
Who cares if the guy is an OnlyFans star? He filmed with consenting adults.
Who cares about the crime that got him in prison? Serving time is the punishment, not rape, not sexual assault, not being threatened with violence in exchange for oral sex, etc.
Even the people who post his cry for help with a light shade caption or commentary are just as monstrous as the people making fun of him.
This is a perfect time for me to wish that people who get exposed for such behavior get the worst karma that they deserve. I said what I said.
