web dev stuff

[Michael Waaler @flying10s]

@bminus_code Some of the best TV ever.

[Michael Waaler @flying10s]

@csturner88 Oh, shame (about Neil). We'll see about the other thing...

[Michael Waaler @flying10s]

@csturner88 Good thanks. I'm doing The Ultimate React 2023 course on Udemy. Really enjoying it. It's very thorough.
Also wondering what I'll do when the big X replaces the Bird. What happened to Neil? He completely disappeared!

[Michael Waaler @flying10s]

@csturner88 lol, as if. MaCaulay is the one you need fear! Although, I am on there right now, attempting a kata4...

[Michael Waaler @flying10s]

Finally completed the #PostgreSQL @Codecademy course! Woot Woot! And I've been doing a lot of postgresql kata on @codewars.
Watch out @csturner88 I'm catching up on your score! Lol, as if.

[Michael Waaler @flying10s]

@wasim7raja10 Um, I'm not sure. I have pro ATM. It may be one of their free courses though. You'll have to check it out.

[Michael Waaler @flying10s]

@csturner88 @lovelindhoni @csturner88 I'm pretty sure you'd find it a breeze now. I think the only one I couldn't do better now is the Roman Numerals task. My solution is very workman.

[Michael Waaler @flying10s]

@csturner88 @Codecademy @codewars Yeah, I enjoyed it a lot. I'm looking forward to doing something with it now. I have a Simple Timekeeper and Billing project in mind. It would be useful and good practice.

[Michael Waaler @flying10s]

@paulpod Good stuff!

[Michael Waaler @flying10s]

@csturner88 Oh, didn't know you were previously incorporated.
No, I'm off to bed now. Happy studying!

[Michael Waaler @flying10s]

Quiet day
- #SQL aggregate functions on @codecademy #PostgreSQL course
- Continued @exercism_io #javascript path (numbers)
#100DaysOfCode

[Michael Waaler @flying10s]

@csturner88 @Codecademy @exercism_io Lol, yeah, Finnish is tricky, but I don't think it's expected that you learn it.
Anyway, what do you mean "wound up company". Are you mot freelancing anymore? Or was this a separate thing?

[Michael Waaler @flying10s]

@csturner88 @Codecademy @exercism_io Yeah, the SQL was unplanned. It just kind of happened. But I was gonna do it some day.
Job? What job? Do you have a job for me?
Seriously, check out the Finland situation.

[Michael Waaler @flying10s]

@dev_neil_a Looking good.

[Michael Waaler @flying10s]

@csturner88 Isn't Finland a good place to go for tech jobs? Maybe you should consider moving to the motherland.

[Michael Waaler @flying10s]

Also completed a challenge on exercism

[Michael Waaler @flying10s]

- used this to contribute to a solution discussion to help others who have the same problems: https://t.co/YJhnUFHZeO

[Michael Waaler @flying10s]

- Installed Postgres locally (on Linux)
- Had some frustration about why I couldn't connect with Postbird.
- but it led to reading the docs and learning a lot of about roles and privileges and using psql

[Michael Waaler @flying10s]

@lovelindhoni But it's also good to see other approaches.

[Michael Waaler @flying10s]

Been around the houses today:
- Worked on my Placeholder QA tool
- Started the @Codecademy #Postgres course
- Started @exercism_io
- Pushed my @codewars kata over 400

[Michael Waaler @flying10s]

@lovelindhoni Um... aah... It was recommended to me because of its mentor feature, whereby you iterate solutions based on feedback from a mentor. I'm not that far yet, but I trust the recommendation.
I'm not such a fan of the UI. There is a lot going on, and so many comments in the challenges.
